Russian Official: Ukraine Delays Process of Exchanging Bodies and Prisoners
According to webangah News Agency,RussiaS chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky stated that the Ukrainian side unexpectedly postponed the retrieval of bodies and prisoner-of-war exchange for an indefinite period, despite prior agreement during peace talks held in Istanbul.
Medinsky added that Russia had begun transferring over 6,000 bodies last Friday while exchanging wounded soldiers, critically ill patients, and prisoners with Ukraine. Kyiv reportedly received a list of 640 military personnel-including severely injured troops and young soldiers-to initiate the exchange operation.
The growth comes as both sides continue mutual bombardments amid ongoing warfare. While Ukraine conducts drone strikes, Russian forces maintain their eastern offensive.
