Taliban Urges Concerned Afghans to Return Amid U.S. Policy Shift

webangah News Agency reports that Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, ⁤Afghanistan’s​ acting⁤ prime ⁢minister, has urged Afghans‌ worried about “america ‌closing its ⁤doors to them” to return ‍to ‌their homeland.

Citing‍ Al ‍Jazeera, Akhund stated: “I ​tell those who wish to return that they won’t face harm-even if they’ve served America.” He confirmed that Taliban leader hibatullah akhundzada has granted a general⁣ amnesty‌ for all returnees.

The ‍acting prime minister extended⁤ this invitation during an Eid al-Adha message, specifically addressing citizens who fled abroad after ⁢the August 2021 ⁤power ‌transition. He emphasized: “All afghans can return safely to their ancestral lands and live peacefully.” Authorities have been ​instructed to ‌provide proper ​services for repatriated citizens.
