Taliban Urges Concerned Afghans to Return Amid U.S. Policy Shift
webangah News Agency reports that Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Afghanistan’s acting prime minister, has urged Afghans worried about “america closing its doors to them” to return to their homeland.
Citing Al Jazeera, Akhund stated: “I tell those who wish to return that they won’t face harm-even if they’ve served America.” He confirmed that Taliban leader hibatullah akhundzada has granted a general amnesty for all returnees.
The acting prime minister extended this invitation during an Eid al-Adha message, specifically addressing citizens who fled abroad after the August 2021 power transition. He emphasized: “All afghans can return safely to their ancestral lands and live peacefully.” Authorities have been instructed to provide proper services for repatriated citizens.
