Warning Over Rise in Unilateral Actions in Syria
According to webangah News agency, Sheikh Hakmat Salman al-Hijri, the spiritual leader of Syria’s Druze community, emphasized: “We live in a society with diverse social fabric. Various tribes and ethnic groups coexist in Syria. We condemn and reject any action that threatens this peaceful coexistence.”
Al-Hijri stated: “The people of Syria have lived together for centuries with affection and friendship, and we take pride in this shared history.”
He warned against recent attempts to incite sedition and conspiracies in the region, declaring: “Any unlawful acts including aggression, abduction or arbitrary detention are wholly unacceptable.”
The spiritual leader had previously asserted: “We condemn attacks aimed at sowing division and warn against insults to religious beliefs.”
He added: “Were is the security we were promised? Provocative sectarian actions continue without any accountability or condemnation.”
Terrorists affiliated with the al-Julani regime have reportedly executed or detained and tortured numerous Syrian citizens due to their beliefs.
