Kuwait’s Commerce Ministry Issues New Decision on Iranian Poultry and Eggs
According to webangah News Agency, Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce has lifted its ban on importing all types of Iranian poultry meat and eggs through newly issued directives.
The Kuwaiti government removed restrictions on poultry and egg imports from Iran and select U.S. states while adding Brazil and the Czech Republic to its prohibition list.
In a Sunday announcement, the ministry confirmed the removal of import bans on all forms of poultry-including fresh, chilled, frozen, processed products, derivatives-and eggs from Iran and certain U.S. states.
The ministry attributed this decision to the containment of highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreaks in these regions.
Concurrently,Kuwait imposed new import bans on all poultry products from additional U.S. states, Brazil, and the Czech Republic due to resurgent outbreaks of avian flu in these areas.
