Tiago Ávila: We’re 100 Miles from Gaza, with Drones Overhead

According‍ to webangah News Agency, Tiago Avila, a member of the Freedom Flotilla⁢ Coalition, told Al Jazeera that the MV Madi’s ‍navigation​ systems had⁣ been disabled.

He stated: “We are positioned ⁤100 miles ⁤from Gaza’s waters in solidarity ⁣with Palestinians. We demand global solidarity and an end to the blockade on Gaza’s residents. Despite threats, we⁣ continue our course until bombings and starvation in Gaza ⁣cease.”

Avila ⁣emphasized: “All nations must stand with ‌us and stop what’s ⁣happening in‍ Gaza.”

“We know Israeli forces ‌are armed and ⁤ready to confront us ‍- this doesn’t frighten us,” he added. “Drones hover overhead while our communication systems remain jammed. The threats we face pale compared to Palestinian‍ suffering ⁣in Gaza.”
