California Governor: “We Are Suing Trump
According to webangah News Agency, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated on Monday that Donald Trump’s “interventionist and provocative” decision to deploy the National Guard to the state-ostensibly to counter opposition to his immigration policies-was precisely what the former president had intended. newsom made the remarks in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The governor added,”He inflamed tensions and illegally federalized the National guard. The order he signed isn’t just about California-it allows him to do this in any state. We are suing him.”
ABC News reported last night that the first units of the U.S.National Guard had arrived in Los angeles to confront public protests against federal immigration policies.
Several vehicles belonging to the California National Guard were stationed outside the Hall of Justice near Los angeles City Hall.
Earlier, following escalating unrest in California, the White House announced that Donald Trump had signed an order authorizing 2,000 presidential guard troops to be deployed against what his administration described as “chaos” in the state.
