Madeline Ship Passengers Transferred to Ben Gurion Airport
According to a report by webangah News Agency, israel’s Foreign Ministry stated it has transferred passengers from teh MV Madoleine ship-which was seized in international waters yesterday-to Ben Gurion airport for repatriation to their home countries.
The Israeli regime also declared that these pro-Palestinian activists must sign deportation conditions or face judicial proceedings.
Amnesty International issued a statement yesterday condemning the Israeli military’s interception of the MV Madoleine, emphasizing the vessel was on a humanitarian mission to break gaza’s illegal blockade. The organization stressed that seizing an unarmed civilian ship engaged in humanitarian work constitutes a clear violation of international law.
Amnesty further reiterated that Israel, as an occupying power, is obligated under international law to guarantee Gaza civilians’ access to food and medicine.
The MV Madoleine departed Sicily last Sunday carrying 12 international activists aiming to breach Gaza’s blockade and deliver aid before being intercepted with its passengers yesterday by Israeli forces.
