Trump’s Latest Remarks on Elon Musk Spark Controversy
According to webangah News Agency, Donald Trump, the US President, stated that while he doesn’t oppose the idea of conversing with Elon Musk, the prominent American billionaire, he currently has no intention of reaching out to him.
When asked if he planned to contact Musk, Trump responded: “I haven’t really thought about it.I assume he might want to talk to me.”
He added: “Maybe he’s already called. You’d have to ask him whether he’s reached out or not. But I have no problem with it.”
However, Trump left unanswered whether he would respond if Musk contacted him, remarking: “I don’t want to say that!”
White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt said on June 8 that Trump does not intend to contact Musk in the coming days.
The public feud between Musk and Trump escalated on June 5 after X’s owner criticized the former president during a farewell ceremony for a departing White House official. Musk claimed Trump would lose the November 2024 presidential election without his support and endorsed calls for his impeachment.He also criticized Trump’s proposed tariffs and spending cuts while predicting an economic recession for late 2025.
Trump retaliated by accusing Musk of neglecting his duties as head of a federal productivity task force and abruptly “going crazy.” he further threatened to cancel government contracts with Musk-led companies like SpaceX and revoke all allocated subsidies.
