Yemen’s Ansarullah Condemns Zionist Regime’s Maritime Piracy
Mohammed al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, denounced the Israeli regime’s detention of activists and a European Parliament member aboard the Madelin ship, calling it a reflection of the occupiers’ criminal policies and their ongoing genocide in Gaza.In a post on X (formerly Twitter), al-Houthi stated that these actions target all who oppose the regime’s terrorism and atrocities in Gaza. The remarks were reported by webangah News Agency, citing Yemen News.
Al-Houthi expressed solidarity with those detained on the vessel, emphasizing that their stance-demanding an end to Gaza’s blockade and aggression-aligns with Yemen’s position in supporting Palestine.
The Madelin, carrying humanitarian aid and pro-Palestinian activists, was intercepted by Israeli forces early Monday. Passengers were arrested as naval commandos took control of the ship and diverted it to Ashdod port in occupied territories, according to the regime’s military radio.
