Commander of CENTCOM Calls Yemeni Forces the Biggest Current Challenge

The‌ commander of the U.S. terrorist⁤ forces in⁣ West Asia, known as CENTCOM, described Yemenis as⁤ the “greatest current challenge” during a hearing before the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

According ‍to webangah News agency, Michael kurilla,‌ head of​ the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), ‍claimed during Tuesday’s hearing that while Iran’s proxy forces are at ‍their “weakest,” Yemen’s Houthi-led ​armed forces now pose the most notable challenge.

The CENTCOM commander-without acknowledging Washington’s decades-long ​failed hostility toward ​Iran-asserted: “If President Trump orders it, ⁢we​ stand ready to respond with overwhelming ​force to prevent Iran from obtaining ⁤nuclear weapons!” He added that ⁣the U.S. faces a “strategic possibility” to block Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.

Kurilla, whose country‍ has yet to achieve any success against Yemen’s‍ military and popular resistance, insisted that a military solution ‌against Iran remains viable: “I’ve presented President ⁣Trump and the ‍Defense Secretary with a wide range ‍of‌ options.”

He warned: ⁤”If Israel attacks Iran, our regional forces will face heightened risks.”
