New York Post Photographer Shot During Los Angeles Protests + Video
According to webangah News Agency, Toby Zinagame, a photographer for the New York post, was hit by US National Guard forces during Tuesday’s protests in Los angeles.
Security personnel targeted Zinagame with a plastic round to the forehead while covering the demonstrations. The photographer stated he was on an elevated platform wearing clear press identification at the time of firing.
The Los Angeles Police Department declined immediate comment, calling the incident “under inquiry.”
Protests against former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies expanded from Los Angeles to include Dallas and Austin in Texas.Dozens of Dallas demonstrators waved banners and flags opposing what they called Trump’s repressive immigration measures.
The Dallas gatherings reportedly turned violent at times,with police declaring them “unlawful assemblies” before deploying tear gas to disperse protesters.
