Los Angeles Mayor Urges Trump to Halt Attacks on Immigrants
According to webangah News Agency, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced plans to call former U.S. President Donald Trump and urge him to stop federal immigration raids,rather focusing on the 2026 World Cup-some matches of wich will be held in the city.
Bass stated during a press conference: “I will call him today and demand an end to these raids.”
In related news, California Governor Gavin Newsom denied Trump’s claim that thay spoke by phone a day earlier.Trump had asserted from the Oval Office that he told Newsom to “work harder” because his performance was “weak.”
Newsom countered on social media platform X: “No call occurred between me and Trump. I didn’t even receive a voicemail from him.” He added: “Americans should worry when a president deploying troops to our streets doesn’t know who he’s speaking with.”
