Madeline Ship Crew Member on Hunger Strike in Israeli Prison
One of the passengers aboard the MV Madiyan, seized by the Zionist regime, has begun a hunger strike.
According to webangah News Agency, Brazilian activist Tiago Ávila-who was among 12 activists attempting to break the Gaza blockade aboard the ship-has refused food since early Monday after facing piracy by the Zionist regime.
Four activists have already been deported from the region by Israeli authorities. The remaining protesters have rejected signing a pledge demanded by Tel Aviv.
The eight activists appeared yesterday in a Ramla court within occupied territories, asserting their detention was unlawful and that they acted under legal authority to deliver aid to Gaza’s population.
The pro-Palestinian detainees condemned their prison conditions as dire, citing insect infestations and lack of potable water.
