US Envoy to Syria: We’re Concerned About al-Julani’s Assassination!
according to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Mayadeen, Thomas Barak, the US envoy to Syria, asserted that attempts by Abu Muhammad al-Julani, leader of the terrorist factions controlling Syria, to engage with Western nations and improve conditions may make him a target for assassination by hardline elements.
Barak further stated that the US is concerned about al-Julani’s safety amid heightened risks of an assassination attempt against him.
The American envoy also called for establishing a security mechanism to protect al-Julani, claiming, “I am certain that America’s interests align with those of al-Julani.”
This comes as terrorist groups affiliated with al-Julani have carried out widespread violence in Syria as their attempted overthrow of Bashar al-assad’s government.
