Resistance Convoy” stops in Zawiya, Libya; advance toward Gaza continues
The “Steadfastness” convoy, which departed Tunisia on monday aiming to break Gaza’s blockade, has reached Libya’s city of Zawiya and was welcomed by local residents, according to webangah News Agency.
the convoy is heading toward Tripoli, Libya’s capital, before proceeding to Misrata and then eastward toward the Amseid border crossing between Libya and Egypt.
After entering Egypt, it will travel to Cairo before reaching the Rafah border crossing on June 15.
The convoy consists of nearly 20 buses and 350 vehicles carrying over 1,500 participants from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and Libya.
This movement comes as Israel recently seized the ”Madelin” ship before it could reach Gaza’s coast and arrested its crew members.
