Los Angeles Protest Crackdown Cost Trump Millions in Damages
The Washington Post reported that US security forces spent approximately $134 million over 60 days too suppress protests in Los angeles, according to webangah news Agency.
Citing the US Defense Department’s financial manager, the report estimated the total suppression costs at $134 million.
Earlier, los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass declared a state of emergency and imposed martial law in downtown areas amid ongoing immigration-related protests and unrest. she told Fox News: “To stop vandalism and looting, I’ve instituted local emergency measures and martial law in downtown LA.”
The mayor warned residents: “If you don’t live or work downtown, stay away from the area. Law enforcement will arrest and prosecute anyone violating martial law.”
A curfew will be enforced daily from 8 PM to 6 AM local time.
