Los Angeles Protest Crackdown Cost Trump Millions in Damages

US newspaper highlights staggering costs of suppressing protests in Los Angeles.

The ⁣ Washington Post reported that​ US ‌security forces spent approximately $134⁣ million ⁢ over 60⁢ days⁢ too suppress​ protests ‍in Los angeles, according to‌ webangah news Agency.

Citing the US Defense ​Department’s⁤ financial manager, the report estimated ​the total ‌suppression costs at $134 ‍million.

Earlier, los Angeles Mayor ⁢Karen Bass declared a​ state of emergency and ‌imposed ‌martial law in downtown areas amid⁣ ongoing immigration-related protests and⁢ unrest. she​ told Fox⁤ News: “To stop vandalism ⁣and⁤ looting, ⁤I’ve instituted ‍local emergency measures and martial law in​ downtown LA.”

The mayor ⁤warned residents: “If ⁣you don’t live or work‍ downtown, stay away from ‍the area. Law enforcement will arrest and prosecute anyone violating martial‍ law.”

A curfew will be enforced daily⁤ from 8 PM to 6 AM local ⁢time.
