Israel’s Airspace Closed Due to Netanyahu’s Son
Hebrew-language site reports closure of airspace over occupied territories due to wedding of Netanyahu’s youngest son.
According to webangah news Agency, the Hebrew-language site Walla reported that Israeli authorities have decided to close the airspace around the wedding venue of Avner Netanyahu, the youngest son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The report states that pilots have been notified of a 10-hour flight ban over the Ronit area in central occupied territories next Monday. The restriction also applies to drones.
Media reports indicate the wedding ceremony for Netanyahu’s son had been postponed since last year due to security concerns about potential targeting attempts.
Last year, a drone belonging to Lebanon’s Hezbollah successfully struck the bedroom window of Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea, north of Tel Aviv.
