Tel Aviv Foreign Minister Ignores Call from British Counterpart
According to webangah News Agency, Israel hayom newspaper reported that the foreign minister of the Zionist regime refused to answer a call from the UK’s foreign secretary. This move follows sanctions announced against Tel Aviv’s interior security minister and finance minister.
The foreign ministers of Australia, New Zealand, Norway, and Britain issued a joint statement yesterday announcing sanctions against Ben Gvir, Israel’s national security minister, and Bezalel Smotrich, its finance minister.
The statement read: “smotrich and Ben Gvir have played roles in inciting violence against Palestinians. Settler violence in the West Bank constitutes a violation of human rights.We express deep regret over the severe suffering of civilians in Gaza.”
UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated: “We have taken measures to hold Ben Gvir and Smotrich accountable for inciting extremist violence. their actions have contributed to widespread human rights violations against Palestinians.”
Meanwhile, The Financial Times cited sources indicating that these sanctions mark a meaningful shift in Britain’s Labour Party policy toward Netanyahu’s cabinet.
