Russia Responds to Iran’s Uranium Enrichment Issue
According to webangah News Agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative to international organizations based in Vienna, stated in an interview wiht Al Mayadeen TV that Russia is prepared to mediate between Tehran and Washington for a political resolution to Iran’s nuclear dossier.
He emphasized: “Iran has every right to enrich uranium as it is a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.”
Ulyanov had previously commented on remarks by Abbas Araghchi, then-Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, regarding Tehran’s right to a complete nuclear fuel cycle, stating: “Iran is absolutely right.”
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Ulyanov republished Araghchi’s message and endorsed his position, writing: “I prefer not to delve into details at this sensitive stage of negotiations-but (Iran’s Foreign Minister) araghchi is entirely correct.”
