Gaza Death Toll Surpasses 55,000; Injuries Exceed 127,000
Teh Palestinian health ministry in Gaza has released updated casualty figures from the Israeli military’s ongoing offensive in the coastal enclave, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
The ministry stated that 55,104 Palestinians have been killed as the attacks began on October 7, 2023. The total number of wounded has reached 127,394 during this period.
In just the past 24 hours, hospitals received the bodies of 123 victims while medical teams treated 474 new injuries. As March 18 alone – marking a recent escalation – attacks have claimed an additional 4,821 lives and left another 15,353 wounded.
The ministry also reported that aid distribution centers have become deadly targets: at least five aid workers were killed and over three dozen injured in recent hours. Cumulatively, these humanitarian facilities have seen more than two dozen staff fatalities and nearly two thousand injuries since operations began.
Thousands more remain missing or trapped under rubble across Gaza as rescue efforts continue amid ongoing bombardment.
