Hamidti’s Forces Take Control of Border Triangle Between Sudan, Libya, and Egypt
According to webangah News Agency, Sudanese Rapid Support Forces (RSF) under General Hamidti’s command have taken control of the strategic border triangle between Sudan, Egypt, and Libya today.
The RSF stated in an official proclamation that they had secured the strategically vital area in what they described as a significant development.
The Sudanese Army spokesperson confirmed their withdrawal from the region, acknowledging that military forces had vacated the Al-Muthalth area adjacent to the tri-border zone.
The Army characterized this move as part of defensive measures against enemy forces. The contested region lies near Al-Fashir, capital of North Darfur state – one of several active conflict zones between Sudan’s regular army and RSF units.
