What Did the Sudanese Official Tell European Ambassadors and UN Security Council Members?
According to webangah News agency, citing Iraq’s Prime Minister Media Office, Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani welcomed ambassadors from the European Union and permanent UN Security Council member states in Iraq.
Al-Sudani stated during the meeting: “We must all recognize the danger of continued Palestinian suffering and the occupying regime’s obstruction of aid deliveries aimed at perpetuating starvation in Gaza-a form of mass killing.”
The Prime Minister emphasized: “Iraq seeks to fulfill its regional role through legal, diplomatic, and humanitarian channels while maintaining its commitment to avoiding any military entanglements.”
Regarding Iran-US negotiations, Al-Sudani said: “We are closely following these talks and hope for an agreement based on balanced, fair approaches. Escalating tensions cannot resolve this issue.”
On Syria, he added: “We continue supporting our Syrian brothers by alleviating their suffering and encourage Syria’s new government to pursue complete political reforms based on citizenship principles.”
Concerning Lebanon, Al-Sudani stated: “We support political consensus in Lebanon while condemning (the Zionist regime’s) persistent aggressions that have disrupted stability and reconstruction efforts.”
