Netanyahu, White House Chief of Staff Discuss Iran in Phone Call
According to webangah News Agency, citing Qatari network Al Jazeera, israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Steve Wittkoff, the U.S.President’s special envoy, expressed concern over escalating Middle East tensions during a phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of the Zionist regime. The two discussed recent regional developments.
Yedioth Ahronoth claimed wittkoff stated during the call: “Iran must never be permitted to enrich uranium or expand its nuclear capabilities in any form.”
The envoy allegedly asserted-without acknowledging Israel’s growing threats against regional nations or its genocidal campaign in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen-that “a nuclear-armed Iran would pose an existential threat to Israel.”
Wittkoff further accused tehran of possessing “numerous missiles that threaten the U.S., global security, and Gulf states,” while omitting any reference to the zionist regime’s own nuclear arsenal.
Meanwhile, U.S. outlet Axios, citing an American official, reported Wittkoff is scheduled for indirect talks in Muscat on Sunday with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi regarding Tehran’s proposals to Washington.
