According to webangah News Agency, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated in remarks today that president Donald Trump remains committed to a peaceful process regarding Iran.
Hegseth said, “Trump is giving Iran every necessary prospect, and discussions are ongoing.Netanyahu prioritizes Israel, and we prioritize our own country.”
The defense secretary made hawkish remarks, asserting: “We are appropriately positioned in the region to address all potential emergencies.”
he added: “We remain committed to creating suitable conditions for achieving peace and conducting negotiations aimed at preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.”
The US statements about pursuing peaceful resolution with Iran come as Washington not only took opposed action against Tehran at the IAEA Board of Governors ahead of the sixth round of nuclear talks but also imposed new sanctions on the country.
