US Senator: Israel’s Attack Fuels Escalation of Violence in the Region
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, Jack Reed, the senior Democratic senator on the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran and urged Trump to take action to de-escalate tensions.
Reed warned in a statement: “Israel’s decision to carry out airstrikes against iran represents a reckless escalation of tensions that could fuel regional violence.”
He added: “I call on both sides to exercise immediate restraint and urge President Trump and our international partners to apply diplomatic pressure before this crisis spirals out of control.”
The remarks come as Iran-Israel tensions have entered a new phase following recent attacks. As one of the Democratic Party’s senior foreign policy figures,Reed has often taken moderate stances on middle Eastern issues.
