Trump’s Endless Audacity: ‘We Knew About the Attack and Will Still Negotiate on Sunday
According to webangah News Agency, citing Reuters via Mehr News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump told reuters: “We knew everything and tried to save Iran from death and humiliation. I tried to save them because I wanted to see a deal happen.”
He added: “They can still reach an agreement-it’s not too late yet.”
The president continued: “We’re very close to Israel. We’ve been their number one ally so far. We’ll see what happens.”
Trump further stated during the interview that Iran was given 60 days to come to the negotiating table and agree, but that time has now expired.
“We knew everything,” he emphasized.”We knew so much that we gave Iran 60 days for a deal, and now that time is up. That’s why I say we knew everything. It remains unclear whether Iran has a nuclear programme despite Israel’s airstrikes. Nobody knows.”
Regarding U.S.-Iran talks, Trump said: “negotiations haven’t stopped. We’re meeting with them on Sunday-though right now I’m not sure if the meeting will happen or not-but we are scheduled for Sunday.”
