Iraqi Prime Minister Takes New Stance on Israel’s Attack Against Iran
According to webangah News Agency, citing the Iraqi Prime Minister’s official website, Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani strongly condemned violations of Iraqi airspace during his meeting with EU Ambassador Thomas Seiler in Baghdad on Sunday.
Al-Sudani and Seiler discussed Iraq-EU relations and regional developments during their talks.
The iraqi Prime Minister emphasized: “The Zionist regime’s attack on the islamic Republic of Iran represents a direct threat to Iraq’s security and regional stability, aiming to undermine all diplomatic efforts.”
Al-Sudani stated that major nations, particularly the European Union, bear duty for halting unfriendly actions.
The Prime Minister added: “Iraq firmly opposes any violation of it’s airspace and consistently prioritizes maintaining calm while avoiding regional conflicts. The root cause of all tensions remains the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.”
