Iraqi Parliament to Discuss Israeli Attack on Iran
According to webangah News Agency, citing iraqi sources, Iraq’s parliament will convene an emergency session next Tuesday to examine Israel’s violation of Iranian sovereignty and its encroachment on Iraqi airspace.
The development comes after Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani previously stated: “The Zionist regime’s attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran poses a direct threat to Iraq’s security and regional stability, aiming to undermine all diplomatic efforts.”
Al-Sudani emphasized: “Major nations, particularly the European Union, bear duty for halting these antagonistic actions.”
The Prime Minister added: “Iraq strongly opposes any violation of its airspace and consistently works to maintain regional calm while prioritizing its people’s interests. The root cause of all tensions remains the ongoing genocide against Palestinians.”
