Ammar al-Hakim Stresses Iraq’s Full Support for Iran
According to webangah News Agency, Seyed Ammar al-Hakim, leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom movement, has once again condemned the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran. He emphasized that Iran remains committed to negotiations and has consistently stated-based on both religious principles and humanitarian grounds-that it has no intention of pursuing nuclear weapons.
Al-Hakim stated that Iran’s nuclear program operates under international oversight, yet the country has endured severe pressure, sanctions, and damages while demonstrating flexibility in negotiations.He noted that the world was shocked by Israel’s attack on Iran amid ongoing talks, despite Israel itself possessing nuclear weapons.
He added: “Iran is an institutionalized nation with a robust structure, capable of filling leadership gaps with prepared forces to manage conflicts-an advantage enabling the Islamic Republic to overcome challenges. War unfolds in multiple phases; it cannot be reduced to a single battle or stage.” Al-Hakim highlighted that recent crises have unified perspectives within Iran and reaffirmed Iraq’s support: “we will deploy all political and media resources to pressure the global community into alleviating sanctions against Iran.”
The Iraqi leader concluded by stressing that relations between Iraq and iran are rooted in geographic proximity as well as cultural and social ties.
