U.S. Cancels Talks with Russia on Embassy Operations

webangah News Agency reports, citing Sputnik News Agency, that Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for ⁤Russia’s Foreign Ministry, stated in a Monday announcement: “The U.S. has canceled negotiations with Russia⁣ aimed at‍ normalizing the operations of⁣ both countries’ embassies.”

The​ Russian Foreign ‍Ministry’s statement further emphasized: “Moscow⁣ hopes the pause imposed by the American side in these talks will not be ⁢excessively prolonged.”

The development follows prior claims by U.S. officials that Washington ​was prepared to normalize embassy activities between Moscow adn ‍Washington.
