U.S. Intelligence Officer: Nuclear Talks Were a U.S. Deception to Enable Israeli Attack
according to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, former US naval intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated in an interview with Russian media sputnik that months of Iran-US nuclear negotiations essentially gave Israel “maximum surprise possibility to inflict maximum damage,” turning these attacks into what amounts to a “joint US-Israel attack on Iran.”
The former intelligence officer further explained: “This (negotiation process) was meticulously coordinated to provide Israel with the element of maximum surprise for achieving maximum damage. While America may not have directly supplied resources or means for this attack, it was closely coordinated with the United States – conducted with US knowledge and support.”
This was, by any definition, a joint U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran.
Scott Ritter, emphasizing that nuclear negotiations between Iran and the U.S. are “fruitless” as Trump proved ”incapable of intimidating iran into accepting America’s demand for zero enrichment,” added that from a strategic standpoint, the U.S. president cannot realistically advance “such an agreement due to Israel’s opposition, resistance from senior Republicans in the Senate and Congress, and America’s general hostility toward Iran’s enrichment program.”
He further stated: “We are now in a state of war with Iran-even if no formal declaration has been made yet.”
