Spain Urges EU to Halt Arms Sales to Zionist Regime
According to webangah News Agency, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares stated that the European Union should impose an arms sales ban on Israel provided that the war continues.
This comes after Spain’s top diplomat previously urged the international community to sanction Israel due to the prolonged Gaza conflict.
recent Spanish media reports revealed that Madrid canceled €250 million worth of arms contracts with Israel, including agreements for producing 168 artillery pieces and 1,680 anti-tank missiles.
The Spanish government has also developed a plan to reduce its technical reliance on Israel’s military industry and end dependence on its defence technologies.
Earlier, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called on EU nations to suspend partnership agreements with israel and prohibit weapons exports to the regime.
