Amr Moussa Calls for Immediate Meeting of Egypt’s National Security Council
Former Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa has called for an immediate session of Egypt’s National Security Council in response too the current military escalation between Iran and Israel, according to webangah News Agency.
The ex-Arab League Secretary general stated in an X (formerly Twitter) post that the conflict poses a direct security threat to nations and communities across West Asia, warning that “Egypt and its people are not immune from this danger.”
citing Article 205 of Egypt’s constitution governing the National security Council’s mandate, Moussa emphasized the body’s responsibility to confront crises threatening national security. He stressed the need for measures to identify and neutralize security threats originating both domestically and internationally.
