Egypt’s President and Bahrain’s King Hold Phone Talks on Regional Situation
According to webangah News Agency, citing Egypt’s presidential office, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt spoke by phone with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on saturday.
The two leaders discussed regional developments and expressed grave concern over escalating tensions between the Zionist regime and Iran.
Warning against an expansion of conflict due to its severe consequences for all regional nations, both leaders emphasized the need for all parties to act responsibly and work toward resolving the current crisis through negotiations and peaceful means. They also stressed the international community’s obligation in addressing the situation.
The Egyptian president and Bahraini king asserted that current regional tensions fundamentally stem from continued attacks by the Zionist regime on Gaza. They called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza while warning about its ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.
