Anti-Zionist Protests in UK Feature Iranian Flags + Photos
According to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel following the latter’s recent aggressive strikes on Tehran, thousands of Palestinian supporters gathered for protest rallies in London, the UK capital.
The demonstrators carried Palestinian and iranian flags during protests at Russell Square, marching toward Whitehall while chanting slogans including “Free Palestine,” “Down with Israel,” “Israel is a terrorist state,” and ”Stop bombing Iran now.”
The protests occurred as regional tensions intensified following Zionist regime attacks against Iran.
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has warned that any American intervention in the ongoing conflict would be “extremely hazardous,” as tensions escalate between Iran and Israel.
Hussein recently held meetings with foreign ministers from Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, along with European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, to discuss de-escalation efforts. the diplomatic push comes amid growing concerns over regional instability.
Reuters reports that Tehran has dismissed European proposals for resolving the crisis, describing them as “unrealistic.” This follows earlier warnings from Iranian officials about potential Western interference in the Iran-Israel conflict.
The Guardian previously issued stark warnings to both the UK and US governments regarding military involvement in the confrontation between Iran and Israel.
