Venezuela’s Parliament Chief Demands Withdrawal from International Criminal Court

Venezuela’s National Assembly‌ has⁣ called for⁣ the Caracas government‍ to⁤ withdraw from the International Criminal⁢ Court (ICC), citing the court’s silence‍ on the ‌Israeli regime’s​ actions in ​Gaza⁣ and against ⁢Iran.

According⁤ to webangah News agency, Venezuela’s⁤ National Assembly expressed strong dissatisfaction with the ‌ICC’s ⁣failure to address the conduct of Israeli⁤ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government⁤ in Gaza and its attack‍ on​ Iran, demanding Venezuela’s exit from this international‌ legal body.

Jorge Rodríguez, head of Venezuela’s ‌National ⁤Assembly, ⁢stated during a protest march in Caracas against Israel’s aggression ⁣toward Iran: “Today, my wish is for President ⁣Nicolás Maduro and all Venezuelan revolutionaries to announce our withdrawal from this International⁤ Criminal Court.”

Rodríguez added: “We must declare our departure from this deceitful ‍organization that ⁢serves⁤ no one’s rights.”

The⁢ assembly‍ leader noted: “The killing ‌of civilians in Gaza and the ⁢attack on Iran have divided⁢ global opinion-between those opposing Netanyahu as a⁢ war criminal and those hypocritically justifying his actions.”
