Guterres: US Attack on Iran Poses Direct Threat to Global Peace and Security

UN Secretary-General​ António Guterres denounced the U.S. military strike on ⁣Iranian nuclear facilities ‍as a ⁣”dangerous escalation” in a region already “on‍ the brink,” according to a report by webangah ‌News Agency.

“The ⁢U.S. use of force against Iran directly threatens global‍ peace and security,”​ Guterres stated.

The UN chief⁤ warned that the risk of this conflict spiraling out⁢ of control is increasing, possibly ⁢causing “catastrophic consequences for the region ‍and the world.”
