U.S. Congress Condemns Trump’s Iran Strike: ‘He Deceived America
According to webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Nancy Pelosi, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and former Speaker of the House, opposed Donald Trump’s move to engage in military strikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran. She demanded accountability from the president for endangering American lives and security through such operations.
Pelosi emphasized that Trump violated the law by unilaterally involving the U.S. military in this conflict without congressional approval.
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen also condemned the attack, stating that Trump had promised to bring security to the Middle East but instead escalated tensions.
Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter criticized Trump’s actions against Iran as “purely performative,” stating they achieved nothing beyond saving face.

Ritter revealed that the US had planned to “end everything” by targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, but fortunately, the operation failed. “Israel is losing this war because it inflicted no notable damage on Iran,” he added.
The analyst accused Trump of escalating conflict risks by misleading Americans about his objectives and failing to secure Congressional authorization for military force. “I pray for the safety of our forces in the region,” Ritter concluded, noting Trump had dangerously expanded the war’s scope.
