Mossad Chief Thanks CIA for Cooperation in Confrontation with Iran
David Barnea, head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency-who rarely makes public statements-expressed gratitude to the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for its “substantial involvement” in the conflict with Iran, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
The acknowledgment comes amid contradictory claims by former U.S. president Donald Trump, who initially denied direct involvement in military operations before later admitting his role and attempting to escalate hostilities-only to backtrack after Iran’s decisive retaliation.
barnea credited Israel’s “success” in the war to Mossad leadership’s decision-making while asserting his agency monitors all of Iran’s strategic projects “with full awareness.”
The 12-day conflict left Israel in crisis after precision strikes by Iranian missiles hit critical economic, military, and security infrastructure. Despite initial ambitions for the offensive,Israel sought Trump’s intervention before unilaterally halting hostilities.
While Iran suffered human and material losses-including martyred military commanders and nuclear scientists-analysts suggest the war accelerated what Zionist prognosticators describe as Israel’s inevitable collapse as it approaches its 80th anniversary.
