A Saudi Airlines aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Egypt after it’s pilot died during a flight from Jeddah to London, according to webangah News Agency, citing MiddleEastMonitor and Mehr News Agency.
The airline and security sources confirmed that Cairo air traffic control instantly cleared the plane for an emergency landing at the nearest airport after receiving a distress call from the co-pilot.
Crew manager Mohsen bin Saeed Al-Zahrani reportedly suffered a fatal heart attack. The aircraft, operated by the co-pilot, landed safely at Cairo International Airport without further incident.
