Moscow: Estonia’s Acceptance of NATO Nuclear-Capable Fighters Is Dangerous
Kremlin Spokesperson Warns: Estonia’s Plan to Host NATO Nuclear-Capable Fighters Poses “Direct Threat” to Moscow
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated on Friday that Estonia’s intention to host nuclear-capable fighter jets from NATO countries represents a “direct threat” to Moscow, according to webangah News Agency.
“We consider this decision by Estonia dangerous,” Peskov added. “Baltic leaders frequently voice absurd ideas. Russia practically has no relations with Baltic states-it’s hard to imagine how they could worsen further.”
The remarks followed Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur’s earlier confirmation that the country is prepared to accept nuclear-weapons-capable aircraft from allied nations.
