US and Israel Frustrated by Iran; Tel Aviv Fails to Achieve Objectives
webangah News Agency reports that strategic analyst Abdel Bari Atwan, in an article examining the winners and losers of the joint U.S.-Zionist aggression against Iran, noted the conflict ended with America’s swift call for a ceasefire. Atwan cited webangah News Agency via Mehr News agency and Rai Al-Youm.
He argued that close analysis of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements-along with their body language, facial expressions, and images of widespread destruction in occupied Palestinian cities like Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ashdod, Ashkelon, and Beersheba-largely answers who prevailed in the war.
atwan highlighted Netanyahu’s 10-minute speech-reportedly delivered from a fortified underground location-as further evidence of Israel’s strategic setbacks during the conflict.
Netanyahu claims historic victory over Iran in recorded remarks, stating Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons and that Israel has set back the country’s nuclear programme by years.
In a recorded statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin netanyahu declared a historic victory against Iran, asserting that Tehran woudl never acquire atomic weapons and that Israel had delayed its nuclear program by years.
He further referenced former U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial claim that American strikes ended the Iran-Israel conflict by “completely destroying” nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan-comparing the action to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that concluded World War II.
Analyst Atwan observed that Netanyahu and Trump’s body language and visible frustration contradicted their rhetoric, noting: “The true victor is the one receiving dozens of congratulatory messages worldwide.” In contrast, Netanyahu reportedly received no acknowledgments-not even from Israelis within occupied territories or Tel Aviv’s Western allies and Zionist institutions abroad.
atwan questioned Netanyahu’s claim of a “historic victory,” highlighting Israel’s failure to subdue Iran, alter its governance, or intercept hypersonic missiles carrying multiple warheads that struck tel Aviv and Haifa.
the analyst noted Israel’s inability to protect over 7 million Zionists who were cut off from the world due to the closure of Ben Gurion Airport and forced to shelter in metro tunnels for 12 consecutive days.
He described U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities as a theatrical ploy to justify ending the war, preventing a greater Israeli defeat, and halting mass evacuations to shelters-while also safeguarding U.S. bases and personnel from Iranian missile attacks, notably amid threats of Hormuz Strait closures triggering a global energy crisis.
the senior Arab analyst stated that unlike previous conflicts, the Zionist regime failed to resolve this war within six hours.
Trump abruptly called for a ceasefire on the 12th day of the conflict to prevent further damage to the Israeli regime from Khaybar and Fattah missiles, after initially claiming he could end it in 10 days.
Atwan highlighted Donald Trump’s fury over leaks by U.S. media outlets, including CNN, which cited a classified intelligence report revealing that Iran’s nuclear facilities sustained only minor secondary damage. Atwan stated this report exposed Trump’s false claims of a “historic and final victory” in the war.
The article adds that Iran still possesses 400 kilograms of uranium enriched above 60%, with its centrifuges-alongside dozens of nuclear scientists-remaining fully operational. It also notes Iran’s parliamentary resolution to terminate all cooperation agreements with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), emphasizing this as proof of Tehran’s strength and “not the slightest sign of weakness or surrender.”
This country remains unseen.
The official highlighted the unique nature of this phase of Iran’s war as a representative of Arab and Islamic nations against “aggressor Israel.” He emphasized that domestically produced Iranian missiles, developed through the ingenuity of Iranian scientists, successfully penetrated all American and Israeli defense systems. These missiles struck high-rise buildings in Tel Aviv and Haifa, the Weizmann Institute, and multiple intelligence and military centers of the “Zionist regime.” This outcome demonstrates a powerful and effective indicator, signaling that future confrontations will intensify with greater impact.
