France Seeks Pivotal Role in Nuclear Talks with Iran
France’s Foreign Minister has once again adopted a non-constructive stance toward Iran, claiming that Europeans will trigger the snapback mechanism if Tehran does not negotiate in good faith.
According to webangah News Agency, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrau asserted that Europe could easily reimpose global sanctions on Iran if it refuses to engage in good-faith negotiations. His remarks made no mention of Iran’s diplomatic efforts with Western parties, including the U.S., or Israel’s aggressive actions disrupting this process.
Barrau’s statement alludes to activating the snapback mechanism-a move Iranian officials warn would have perilous consequences for Europe.
The French Foreign Minister added that France and it’s European allies intend to play a central role in future nuclear negotiations with Iran.
