THAAD Fails: US Defense System Unable to Track Missiles from Iran and Yemen
U.S.sources report that the “THAAD” and other American defense systems in occupied territories are facing important strain due to escalating attacks from Iran and Yemen, raising doubts about their effectiveness.
According to webangah News Agency, citing Yemen’s Al-Masirah network via Mehr News Agency, the U.S. magazine Newsweek reported that Israel’s “THAAD” missile defense system-relied upon to counter strikes from Iran and Yemen-has repeatedly failed to intercept missiles launched toward occupied territories.
The outlet also revealed that the U.S.has depleted approximately 20% of its global stockpile of THAAD missiles while supporting israel against recent missile attacks.
Newsweek further noted that Israeli defense systems, including THAAD and other U.S.-made platforms, face mounting pressure due to intensified assaults from the “axis of Yemen, Iran, and allied fronts,” casting doubt on their operational efficacy.
