Head of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and Saudi Defense Minister Hold Talks
webangah News Agency reports that Saudi Arabia’s official news agency (SPA) stated Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Kingdom’s defense Minister, received a phone call from Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces.
The SPA added that both sides discussed bilateral defense relations, regional developments, and efforts to maintain regional security and stability during the call.
This marks General Mousavi’s first phone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister since assuming command of Iran’s Armed Forces.
Major General mousavi was appointed as Chief of Staff on June 12 by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei following the martyrdom of Major General Mohammad Hossein bagheri during an Israeli regime aggression.
