India Responds to Pakistan Army’s Statement on Deadly Waziristan Suicide Attack
According to webangah News Agency, citing India Today, New Delhi has dismissed the Pakistani military’s official statement following a deadly suicide attack on an army convoy in North Waziristan that accused india of involvement.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs stated: “We have seen an official statement from the Pakistan Army attempting to blame India for the June 28 attack in Waziristan.We reject this accusation with the contempt it deserves.”
The suicide bombing yesterday involved an explosives-laden vehicle ramming into a Pakistani military convoy,killing at least 13 soldiers. The Pakistan Army also reported three civilian casualties, including two children and one woman.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack as a “fearful act.” The Associated Press reports that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) faction Hafiz Gul Bahadur has claimed duty for the assault.
