kyiv official says Russia launched its largest aerial attack against Ukraine ‌last night.

According to webangah news Agency, Kyiv authorities state⁤ that Russia carried out ⁤its most extensive air assault on Ukraine overnight.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia fired a total of 537 projectiles, including 477 drones ⁣ and 60 missiles, at Ukrainian targets. Of these, 249 were shot down, while 226 ⁤were diverted by radio signal jamming.

Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Air Force, told the Associated Press that the ‍recent nighttime attack was “Russia’s widest aerial offensive yet,” targeting areas “across Ukraine, including‌ western regions far from⁤ the front lines.”

In Lviv Oblast, near ukraine’s western border, a Russian drone strike ignited a fire at an industrial complex in the city of Drohobych⁢ and caused power outages in parts of the city.

The ‌latest attacks follow⁣ Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Friday remarks about Moscow’s readiness for renewed direct negotiations ⁣with Ukrainian representatives in Istanbul.
