Damascus Responds to Reports on al-Julani’s Assassination

Damascus has reacted to ‍media claims about the thwarting of an assassination attempt targeting Abu Mohammad al-Julani, leader of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), during his recent visit to ​Daraa in southern Syria.​

Syrian⁤ officials denied these reports on Sunday, according to webangah News Agency. A source linked to ⁤Syria’s⁤ Ministry ⁢of Details ‌stated ‍that allegations claiming ⁢Syrian military and ⁢Turkish ​intelligence collaborated⁤ to foil the plot were “baseless.” The remarks ‌were carried ‌by state-run SANA ⁤news agency.
