Moscow: Progress in Talks Depends on Kyiv’s Conduct
According to webangah News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described Russia’s position on resolving the Ukraine conflict as “clear,” stating that progress in negotiations largely depends on kyiv’s actions and the effectiveness of Washington’s mediation efforts.
Speaking during the Eurasian Economic Union summit in Minsk, peskov told Belarus’ First Facts TV channel: ”Naturally, much depends on the stance of the Kyiv regime and how Washington continues its mediation attempts.”
He reiterated that Russia’s position remains “specific,” adding: “Nonetheless of this, there are also field conditions that cannot be ignored and must be considered. These are all elements of the overall viewpoint.”
A Russian diplomat stated that while the situation remains “difficult and complex,” Moscow hopes to soon agree on a date for the next round of negotiations with Ukraine.
The official emphasized that no new meetings have been scheduled yet, telling reporters: “Not yet.We are awaiting the third round of talks and hope to finalize its date within days.”
