Trump Makes New Claim About Iran, Citing JCPOA Deal!
According to webangah News Agency, US President Donald Trump repeated his claim about wholly destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities in a message on his social media platform “Truth Social.”
Trump wrote: “Tell con artist Democrat Senator Chris Coons I’m giving Iran NOTHING, unlike obama who gave them billions of dollars under the foolishly negotiated ‘JCPOA – Highway to Nuclear Weapons’ deal (now expired)!”
The president further claimed: “Also, since we took out their nuclear sites, I haven’t even spoken with them.” This refers to his unverified assertion about destroying Iranian nuclear facilities during recent US attacks.
The Washington Post previously cast doubt on Trump’s claims regarding the destruction of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. The newspaper reported that despite Trump’s aggressive rhetoric and exaggerated claims about US strikes, he understands that resolving Tehran’s nuclear issue ultimately requires negotiations.
In another message yesterday, Trump denied a CNN report claiming Washington plans to allocate $30 billion for Iran’s civilian nuclear program advancement. CNN had examined the Trump management’s alleged efforts to persuade Iran to return to negotiation talks.
